A boom of visitors the day after reopening
PISA. Tower: for a day after its opening there is already a boom of visitors and of requests for visits. For the day of Sunday in fact the visitors have filedl up immediately, and in a few minutes there was not any more free place to climb to the top of the famous restructured bell tower, in the first day of festivities after its reopening to the public. Reservations on the Sunday shift have reached capacity immediately. Each day in fact there could be 12 "courses" on the leaning Tower (as they are called) for a total of 30 visitors at one time. The visit duration is 35 minutes. This finished, without other delays, it is possible to return on the following run: there will not be intervals, as had been initially stated, between one group and the next. The ticket, as promised, is fixed at 15 euro, a price in effect from January 1st, about 30,000 lire per person, for the moment. To book by phone, call the Opera della Primaziale. Meanwhile the bookings by Internet are arriving at a frantic pace from all over the world.
