The famous Leaning Tower will reopen December 15, in time for Christmas festivities. And for the thousands of tourists all over the world who want to admire the panorama of Piazza dei Miracoli there is a novelty: a web site for reservations.


TOWER of PISA, the countdown begins. A little before Christmas it will again be possible to get on the famous monument, closed for more than ten years for a useful restoration and for consolidating the structure. December 15 the loggias of the leaning Tower will again be filled with crowds of tourists. The formalities of access are yet to establish, but there is a novelty that will be happy news for foreign tourists familiar with the web.

It will in fact be possible to reserve the visit by Internet with a new service on the site www.duomo.PISA.it. The news that will be appreciated above all by the tourists, who with the booking are assured the possibility to admire the splendid panorama of Piazza dei Miracoli.

Another aspect of the opening is the limited number of tourists. Access to to the TOWER will be allowed only to groups of thirty people at a time accompanied by two custodians. As for the price of the ticket; the Work of the Primaziale, that manages the monument, communicates that it should be between the 25 and the 30 thousand liras.

So many applications from all over the world and sure that the tourists will run out of breath: it will in fact be possible to climb up to the summit of the Leaning Tower, that is on the baluster above the bell cell. It is forbidden to lean out from the loggias, a decision made to avoid accidents, and also suicides. Make the appointment, then, for 15 December.
