Wat Pho Reclining Buddha

Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimol Mangklaram Rajwora Mahaviharn

Wat Phra Chetuphon or Wat Pho was built during Ayutthaya period in 1688-1703 to house the Buddhist Saiyat of the Recling Buddha, the most beautifual and second biggest Buddha in Thailand.

The most outstanding feature is pearl-ornamented foot with 108 pictures

In this temple there are also Yoga postures of a hermit muralled around its wall very beautifully.

The Temple of the Reclining Buddha, Wat Pho, was built on the site of an older monastery.
