In order to visit the Statue, it is necesssary to:
  1.     Decide on the type of Tour described below
  2.     Obtain a "Time Pass" good for a certain date and time
  3.     Purchase a Ferry ticket and board at Battery Park, New York
          or Liberty State Park, New Jersey not less than 2 hours
          in advance of the "Time Pass" ticket

A timed-pass ticket is required to enter the monument.

A limited number of daily tickets are available, on a walk-in basis, from the ferry company. Time Passes and Ferry Tickets can also be reserved in advance for a handling fee of $1.75 per ticket by calling 1-866-STATUE-4 or on-line at: www.statuereservations.com

For ferries departing from New York, tickets can be purchased at the Castle Clinton National Monument inside Battery Park, New York. For ferries from New Jersey, tickets can be purchased at the ticket office inside the Railroad Terminal in Liberty State Park, Jersey City. Tickets can also be purchased in advance by telephone at 1 (866) statue-4 or online at www.statuereservations.com

Tours - Statue of Liberty, Liberty Island

Promenade Tour: an interpretive guided tour by a park ranger through the Statue of Liberty museum, which houses the original Statue of Liberty torch and will help you experience the story behind this colossal sculpture. The tour also includes a visit to Ft. Wood at the base of the monument with plenty of time for interpretive programs, photo opportunities and superb views of the Statue, NY Harbor, and Manhattan skyline.

Observatory Tour: This ranger-led excursion includes the Promenade tour through the Statue of Liberty museum and in addition includes an insider's view into the magnificent structure and spectacular views for NY Harbor from the observation balcony.

Antenna Audio Tour: Listen to voices of generations past as they recall their voyages to America , hear the story behind the Statue and learn what it really was like to pass through immigration on Ellis Island . Designed to allow you to go at your own pace and create your own tour.

The Statue's crown is not accessible. The torch was officially closed July 1916.



Cost

Time Passes are free. Ferry costs $10 for Adults (13- 61), $4 for Children (4-12), and $8 for Senior Citizens (62 & over).

There is a one time service charge of $1.75 applied to each advanced ferry ticket purchased via telephone or internet (recommended).

A tour reservation ticket may be obtained on the same day as the visit on a space-available-basis at one of the ticket offices without an additional service charge; however, it is still necessary to purchase a ferry ticket along with each Time Pass.

Directions and Transportation:
Liberty and Ellis Islands are accessible by
Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island ferries only.
One round trip ferry ticket includes visits to both islands.
Ferries depart from Battery Park in New York and Liberty State Park in New Jersey.
Private vessels are not permitted to dock at the islands.
