Information submitted by Paul Lajoie, 2 February 2005:

There was an eBay sale #1515629702, 21 February 2002, won by Vincent Swift, the Statue of Liberty Club President, for $50.00, which was for a "Copper Necklace with three copper coins...one side is the Liberty Bell and the other sid is the just arrived Statue of Liberty" Purchased in New York City in 1888 by Audree Peterson age ten. Necklace and coins are in 90% mint condition.

This medal is available in a brass, and silver plated brass/bronze also. They are seen both with and without a loop. Based on this eBay sale we now know how the medallion was attached and to what it was attached. Sometimes the loop has simply been removed and filed down.
