Information Added by Jerry Kudlac, 29 April 2002:
I am also interested in the Brooklyn Bridge Bowl and how and why it was manufactured. I do collect Carnival Glass and this piece is Carnival Glass. It was manufactured by the Diamond Glass Company of Indiana Pennsylvania. The factory was originally the Dugan Glass Company but was sold to the Diamond Glass Company in about 1914. The factory was destroyed by a fire on June 27, 1931 and never reopened. The bowl was thought to be commissioned as a commerative piece.

Please contact the Brooklyn Bridge webmaster if you have information that could further identify this bowl
